The Story
The Man in the Trenches
John "The Fighting Preacher" Renken is a 20-year veteran, entrepreneur, and strategic operator. He began his military service as an enlisted Army Private, earning his wings and tab through Airborne, Air Assault, and Ranger School while serving with the elite 1/187th Rakkasans, then dedicating two decades to training elite Special Forces and tactical units in hand-to-hand combat.
An Army Combatives Master Trainer, John built and deployed the ARC (Active Shooter & Insider Threat) course across the Department of Defense and Corporate America. His international training pedigree includes preparing NATO and Dutch Special Forces in Afghanistan, and training Special Forces in Germany and on Embassy detail.
A credentialed theologian with formal degrees in both Bible and Theology, John has lived out his principles in the most punishing arenas on earth—as a 6-time World MMA Champion with over 70 pro fights, a national TV runner-up, and the central subject of the critically acclaimed documentaries "Fight Church" (Lionsgate/Netflix) and "The Saint."
He writes and leads with the raw, undisputed authority of someone who survived the legal, physical, and spiritual trenches.
